Paul Hopf

Paul Hopf (born June 19, 1875 in Spandau , † April 12, 1939 in Düsseldorf ) was a German politician . From 1919 to 1920 he was Lord Mayor of the city of Elberfeld .

Live and act

Paul Hopf was an alderman in the Elberfeld city administration from 1911 to 1919. When Wilhelm Funck retired as Lord Mayor in 1919 , he succeeded him. He stayed that way until 1920 and had to leave because he had enriched himself with unfair gasoline deals. He was also chief finance president in Elberfeld.
