Max Kirschbaum

Max Kirschbaum (born October 23, 1882 - † July 8, 1932 in Munich ) was a German politician . From 1920 to 1929 he was the last Lord Mayor of the city of Elberfeld .

Kirschbaum only had a doctorate in law before he was elected mayor on October 1, 1920 to succeed Paul Hopf . His office ended on July 31, 1929 when the towns of Elberfeld and Barmen were united to form the town of Wuppertal , whose mayor was the old mayor of Barmen, Paul Hartmann .

He died in Munich, but was buried in the Reformed Cemetery in Varresbeck .
