Paul Kabisch

Paul Kabisch (born September 10, 1857 in Köben , † August 31, 1927 in Leipzig ) was a German journalist . He gained national fame as the editor of the "Glückauf!" Booklet of the Erzgebirgsverein .

Life

After attending grammar school in Koeben, he got a job at the JJ Weber publishing house in Leipzig , where he worked for several years in the publication and expansion of the weekly newspaper "Illustirte Zeitung", which is distributed all over the world. Since the First World War it has also been involved in the publication of the magazine “Deutschland” and later the illustrated papers “Deutsches Land” by Verlag Heling, Leipzig.

Since his wife came from the Ore Mountains , he became a member of the Erzgebirgszweigverein Leipzig. In 1901 he was elected to the entire board and after the retirement of the senior teacher Hermann Möckel he took over the publication of the "Glückauf!" Later he published updated lists of the summer holidays in the Ore Mountains at regular intervals. He was also chairman of the press and transport committee of the Erzgebirgsverein and a member of the Saxon Transport Association.

After the death of Bruno Berlet , he updated his well-known travel guide through the Ore Mountains.
