Paul King (screenwriter)
Paul King (born July 14, 1926 in Los Angeles , California , † July 10, 1996 in Newport Beach , California) was an American screenwriter and film and television producer.
Life
King graduated from Loyola Marymount University and the University of Southern California . From 1950 he worked in the film business for various film companies, primarily in the field of script development. He was also involved as a producer on various television formats. He eventually rose to vice-president of the Columbia Broadcasting System and later the National Broadcasting Company . He last appeared as a producer and author in 1988.
As a screenwriter, his focus was on television series, including A Thousand Miles of Dust . He often worked with the screenwriter Joseph Stone . The two were also involved in the script development for the film company Petticoat and were nominated together with the other participants for an Oscar in the category Best Original Screenplay in 1960 .
King was married twice and has several children.
