Paul compatriot

Paul Landsmann (born June 18, 1928 in Oberstein ; † June 24, 2002 there ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Compatriot attended the Oberstein elementary school and the Idar-Oberstein grammar school. In between he did military service as an air force helper . In 1948 he passed his Abitur and then studied law and political science in Mainz. After the first and second state examinations , he studied at the University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer and in 1958 entered the higher administrative service at the district offices of Montabaur and Bad Kreuznach and at the Federal Ministry of the Interior. Most recently he was government director.

Compatriot was from 1951 to 1959 district chairman of the JU Birkenfeld and from 1952 to 1960 a member of the district board of the JU Koblenz. From 1954 to 1975 he was chairman of the CDU city association Idar-Oberstein, from 1961 chairman of the CDU district association Birkenfeld and from 1968 a member of the CDU district committee Koblenz-Montabaur. In terms of local politics, he was parliamentary group chairman in the Idar-Oberstein city council from 1956 to 1960 and 1964 to 1971. 1971 to 1974 he was honorary mayor and 1974 to 1979 alderman of the city of Idar-Oberstein.

From May 18, 1967 to April 29, 1971 and from May 18, 1971 to June 2, 1987 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . There he was a member of the Interior Committee and the Legal Committee.
