Paul Langemak (State Councilor)

Paul Langemak , also Langemack (born September 30, 1867 in Bergen auf Rügen , † June 12, 1947 in Stralsund ) was a German lawyer and politician ( DVLP , DNVP ). He was a member of the Prussian State Council .

Paul Langemak was the son of the Stralsund lawyer of the same name, Paul Langemak . The doctor of law worked as a lawyer from 1895 and as a notary in Stralsund from 1908.

In 1917 he was one of the founding members of the German Fatherland Party (DVLP). From 1918 he was a member of the German National People's Party (DNVP) and in the Stralsund Citizenship College, parliamentary group chairman of the civic "working group". Shortly after the outbreak of the November Revolution, Langemak, who was a leading figure of the conservative bourgeoisie in Stralsund, resigned from his seat. After the Workers 'and Soldiers' Council distanced itself from calls for resignation, it rejoined the college. In 1921 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania and Chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Provincial Association of Pomerania . From 1921 he was a deputy member and from 1923 a full member of the Prussian State Council. In 1933 he was deputy chairman of the Economic Committee in the State Council.

In 1945 his application for membership was rejected by the Stralsund SPD . His licenses as a lawyer and notary were withdrawn. His real estate was expropriated.
