Paul Lazarus III

Paul Lazarus III (born May 25, 1938 in New York City ) is an American film producer , author and university lecturer .

Life

After a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College and a Juris Doctor from Yale University Law School , Lazarus practiced intellectual property at the renowned law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York City . He then worked for a talent agency and represented stars such as Woody Allen , Shelley Winters and Simon and Garfunkel . From there, the path to becoming a film producer was quickly paved and in the 1970s he produced films such as Westworld , Futureworld - The Land of Tomorrow by Michael Crichton and The Deadly Triangle with Harrison Ford . In 1982, with Barbarosa by Fred Schepisi and with the actors Willie Nelson and Gary Busey, Lazarus' last feature film followed. After retiring from the film business, he directed the University of Miami’s Motion Picture Program . At the same time, he also wrote several non-fiction books on film productions and novels.

Paul Lazarus is the brother of screenwriter Tom Lazarus and is married to casting director Andrea Eastman.
