Paul Leutert (born October 23, 1862 in Waldheim , † April 13, 1927 in Apolda ) was a master painter and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Leutert attended elementary schools in Dresden and Waldheim. He learned the painting trade, went on a hike, worked as an assistant in Apolda from 1881 and practically worked there as a master painter from 1890. From 1890 to 1898 and from 1908 to 1911 he was a councilor in Apolda. From 1895 he was a member of the district committee of the II. Administrative district from general elections for the city of Apolda.

From 1912 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach 3 ( Jena , Neustadt an der Orla ) and the SPD .

On November 30, 1918, he was elected by the Workers 'and Soldiers' Council as a member of the Provisional Government of the Free State of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach , which was in office until May 20, 1919. From 1919 to 1920 he was also a member of the Landtag of the Free State and from 1921 to 1924 also a member of the Landtag of Thuringia .
