Giancarlo Bellini (born September 15, 1945 in Crosa , sometimes called Gian Carlo Bellini ) is a former Italian professional road racing cyclist . Bellini first appeared in 1970 when he won the first edition of the Baby Giro , an offshoot of the Giro d'Italia for cyclists before the age of 26. He was a professional driver from 1971 to 1979. His first victory as a professional driver came in 1975 when he won the Giro di Campania. His greatest success was winning the dotted jersey for the best climber at the Tour de France in 1976 . This year he was able to achieve his best placement with 16th place in the overall ranking of the tour. Another significant achievement was winning a stage of the Giro d'Italia in 1978 . He was able to achieve a total of seven victories as a professional cyclist.

Bellini's son Marco is also a former professional cyclist.
