Paul Möller (politician)

Paul Möller (born September 26, 1916 in Fargemiel ; † May 8, 2016 in Heiligenhafen ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Möller completed an apprenticeship in agriculture after attending primary school. In 1932 he joined the Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold , but was not politically active during the National Socialist era . He worked in agriculture and did his military service from 1937; from 1939 he was in military service and finally in captivity. From 1945 to 1955 Möller worked again in agriculture.

In 1946 he joined the SPD and in 1947 the horticultural, agricultural and forestry union . In 1953 he became Vice President of the Schleswig-Holstein Chamber of Agriculture ; he held the office until 1978. In 1953 he was elected to the district council of Oldenburg in Holstein ; he held the mandate until 1970. From 1955 Möller was mayor of the Heringsdorf community .

In 1968 he replaced Walter Damm on the SPD state list in the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament , to which he was a member until 1983. Möller was a member of the Public Health Committee, the Agriculture and Environmental Protection Committee, and the Submission Committee. He was also a member of the state election committee.

Möller was married and had one child. He lived in Heringsdorf.
