Paul Pankoke

Paul Pankoke (born September 15, 1905 in Schieder , † August 6, 1983 in Steinheim ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary and middle school , he worked in the newspaper industry. He studied for several semesters at the School of Politics. He was employed in the municipal administration and worked in the private sector. From 1925 he was politically active.

He was married and had four children.

MP

From July 5, 1950 to July 23, 1966, Pankoke was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected directly in constituency 148 Detmold II.

He belonged to the district council of the Detmold district from October 17, 1948 until its dissolution as part of the regional reform on December 31, 1970; the city council of Schieder until 1969.

Public offices

From June 26, 1964 to April 3, 1970 he was district administrator of the Detmold district . From 1961 to 1969 he was mayor of the city of Schieder.

Others

On June 16, 1972 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit.
