August Linne

August Linne (born January 15, 1895 in Knetterheide ; † May 16, 1964 in Detmold ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Linne was the son of a stove maker and of Protestant denomination. He attended elementary school and then worked as a bricklayer. From 1914 to 1918 he was a participant in the war and then until 1921 a brickworker and factory worker residing in Knetterheide. From September 1921 until the seizure of power in 1933 he was an employee of the factory workers' association in Detmold. In 1927 he was chairman of the ADGB regional cartel of the Lippe trade unions.

From 1945 he was initially acting head of the police authority in Lippe, then head of the Bielefeld police department. From 1947 he was chief police officer in Detmold and then retired for some time for health reasons.

He belonged to the SPD. From 1932 to 1933 he was chairman of the SPD sub-district of Lippe. In the state elections in Lippe in 1921 , he ran for position 17 on the SPD list, but was not elected to the state parliament. From 1925 to 1933 he was a member of the Lippe state parliament for the SPD, where he was chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in 1933 and vice-president of the Lippe state parliament. After the seizure of power, he was arrested in the spring of 1933. He resigned the state parliament mandate on May 18, 1933. Willy Schulte was the successor .

From November 17, 1956 until his death on May 16, 1964, he was district administrator for the Detmold district .
