Paul Prince

Paul Prinz (* 1974 in Vienna ) is an Austrian cameraman. He lives in Vienna.

Life

Paul Prinz works for ORF , RTL , Sat.1 , RTL II and ATV and worked on the award-winning feature film “In Memory of my Father”. In 2005 he shot the documentary “Deutsch sein Kunstsprach” with director Moritz Neumüller, the story of a Cuban translator who tries to translate Ernst Jandl's poems into Spanish. The documentary was broadcast on ORF and 3sat and received a nomination at the Rose'Dor Festival in 2006.

In addition to scenic productions, Paul Prinz also works on studio productions for television, including since 2002 as the lighting cameraman for the ORF production Forscherexpress with Thomas Brezina and Kati Bellowitsch . This knowledge program for children can also be seen in Germany on Nickelodeon and has received several awards. With the help of special recordings such as slow motion or elaborate blue screen technology , children are introduced to complex scientific phenomena. In 1998 he realized the art project "Session" for the ORF-Kunststücke together with Niki Klingohr, also as a lighting cameraman.

Paul Prinz has been a member of the Austrian Association of Cinematographers since 2003.
