Paul ride tax

Paul Rittsteuer (born November 30, 1947 in Neusiedl am See ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Rittsteuer was a member of the Burgenland state parliament and from 1987 to 2005 a regional councilor in the Burgenland state government .

education and profession

Rittsteuer attended primary and secondary school in Neusiedl am See and then between 1963 and 1965 the agricultural college in Eisenstadt . He was subsequently a skilled worker from 1965 and from 1972 agricultural master and worked professionally as a farmer. Rittsteuer has been successful in viticulture since the end of his career in politics.

Rittsteuer was chamber councilor of the Burgenland Chamber of Agriculture between 1973 and 1993 and from 1976 chairman of the supervisory board of the fruit and vegetable cooperative. In addition, from 1984 to 1990 he held the position of regional chairman in the Burgenland farmers' union and in 1990 took over the office of regional chairman. From 1993, he was also a member of the Presidium of the Austrian Farmers' Union as federal secretary.

In terms of local politics, Rittsteuer was active as a councilor in the town of Neusiedl am See between 1977 and 1991 and was the district party secretary of the ÖVP-Neusiedl am See from 1970 to 1983. Between 1985 and 1988 Rittsteuer worked as deputy district party chairman, in 1988 he took over the office of chairman.

Rittsteuer was a member of the Burgenland Landtag in the XIV legislative period from October 29, 1982, but moved to the state government before the end of the period on March 19, 1987. Rittsteuer was born as the son of the farmer Johann Rittsteuer from Neusiedl am See. He is married.
