Paul Roch

Paul Roch (* 27. January 1890 in Treuenbrietzen ; † 22. January 1966 in Jüterbog ) was a German SED - official and later an official of the GDR block party DBD . He was a member of the People's Chamber and chairman of the Potsdam district association of the DBD.

Life

Roch, the son of a brickworker, attended elementary school and then worked in agriculture. In the First World War he did military service . In 1919 he became a member of the trade union and later the KPD . He was a farm and factory worker until 1945 and in 1945 he took over a new farm . From 1945 to 1952 he was mayor of Kaltenborn near Jüterbog and a member of the Luckenwalde district soil commission .

At the unification party congress on April 21 and 22, 1946 , he was elected to the SED party executive for Brandenburg , of which he was a member until September 1947. From April 1946 to August 1947 Roch was also a member of the state executive committee of the SED in Brandenburg.

In 1948 he was one of the co-founders of the DBD in the Luckenwalde district. From 1949 to 1953 he was chairman of the Luckenwalde district association of the DBD and from June 1948 to August 1952 he was a member of the Brandenburg regional board of the DBD. From 1952 Roch was deputy chairman of the Potsdam district board of the DBD. From 1953 to 1955 he was chairman of the Jüterbog district committee and a member of the party executive committee of the DBD. From 1955 to 1957 he was chairman of the Potsdam district association of the DBD.

From 1950 he was a member of the Luckenwalde district assembly and from 1950 to 1958 a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR.
