Paul Roth (media scientist)

Paul Roth (born September 5, 1885 in Leipzig , † April 25, 1964 in Trier ) was a German diplomat, newspaper scholar and journalist .

After studying mathematics, physics and philosophy, Roth first became a teacher and joined the Foreign Service in 1918. Between 1928 and 1935 he was consul in Odessa .

From 1919 and 1924 he was a member of the SPD . On March 1, 1940, he joined the NSDAP .

1915–1920 he was co-editor of the Akademischen Rundschau . In 1928 he translated the original French version of the book Kemal Pascha - Die neue Turkey into German.
