Paul Ryan (born February 17, 1970 in Netheravon ) is a former British biathlete .

Like almost all British biathletes, Paul Ryan started for the British Army . He started in international biathlon races since the early 1990s. The first and greatest highlight of his career was participation in the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville , where he was 76th of the individual and 18th in the relay race with Mike Dixon , Kenneth Rudd and Ian Woods . The 76th place in the individual was also Ryan's best result. His best result in the World Cup was a placement three times lower than that. The second international championship was the 1993 World Championships in Borowetz , where he and his relay mates from the Olympic relay race of the previous year were 21st. After the 1993/94 season he ended his career.
