Ian Woods (born June 7, 1966 in Dalbeattie ) is a former British biathlete .

Ian Woods played his first international championship in 1989 at the Biathlon World Championships in Feistritz an der Drau , where the soldier was 76th of the sprint and did not finish the individual. A year later Woods was 61st of the sprint and 69th of the individual, in 1991 in Lahti 54th of the individual, 60th of the sprint and with Kenneth Rudd , Malcom Hamilton and Michael Dixon 14th in the relay race. In 1992 Woods took part in the Winter Olympics for the first time in Albertville and finished in 72nd place in the sprint and with Mike Dixon, Paul Ryan and Kenneth Rudd as the final runners of the 18th season. At the interim Olympic World Championships in Borowetz , Woods came in 81st place in the sprint, 62 in the Individual and was the starting runner of the relay with Michael Dixon, Kenneth Rudd, Paul Ryan 21. The Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer in 1994 , where he was used in all three races, ended his career . In the sprint he was 49th, in the individual 54th and with Mike Dixon, Mark Gee and Ken Rudd 17th in the relay competition.
