Paul pupil

Paul Schüler (born June 14, 1987 ) is a German water polo player .

Career

Paul Schüler has been playing water polo since 1993. After his youth he was accepted into the Bundesliga squad at ASC Duisburg , where he became a regular as a backcourt player. In 2008 he was appointed to the German national team for the first time, for which he has since played 125 international matches (as of 2015). Among other things, he took part in the 2011 World Cup in Shanghai , where Germany took eighth place under coach Hagen Stamm .

With his club, Schüler is one of the national leaders. The Duisburg team won the DSV Cup in 2010 and 2013 . In 2013 he even managed the double with the "Amateurs" when the German championship was won against arch rivals Wasserfreunde Spandau 04 .

Since the 2013/14 winter semester, pupils have been studying sports science at the Ruhr University in Bochum .
