Paul Schirrmeister

Paul Schirrmeister (* 1868 ; † 1945 ) was a German naturopath and a leading figure in the life reform movement and in particular the land reform movement and naturopathy .

Schirrmeister had been a board member of the Eden Gemeinnützige Obstbau-Siedlung since 1897 , co-founder of the Association of German Vaccination Opponents in 1898 , Chairman of the German Association of Associations for Natural Living and Healing (Prießnitz Association) and for years editor of the association organ Der Naturarzt , Chairman of the German Garden City Society and of the Central Association of German Workers' Gardens and Allotments, founded in 1909. Later, Schirrmeister, who was a member of the NSDAP, was deputy head of the German Public Health Association (see Medicine under National Socialism and New German Medicine ). He was also involved in the Grappenhof settlement project in Amden .
