Paul Witt (administrative scientist)

Paul Witt (born March 26, 1955 in Kenzingen ) is a German administrative scientist and professor of municipal business law. Until July 2019 he was rector of the Kehl University of Applied Sciences .

Life

After completing his university entrance qualification in 1974 and doing military service , Witt studied at the Kehl University of Applied Sciences and graduated in 1980 with a degree in administrative management (FH).

After working in the regional council of Freiburg and in the Emmendingen district office , Witt was appointed professor for municipal business law and tax law at the Kehl University of Applied Sciences in 1992, where he had been a lecturer since 1985 . From 1999 to 2007 Witt was Vice Rector at the Kehl University of Applied Sciences; since 2007 he has been the rector there . Witt has been a member of the Presidium of the Rectors' Conference of the Universities of Applied Sciences for the Public Service since October 2013, and its President since January 2014.

During Witt's tenure, the two master's courses in Public Management and Management of Clusters and Regional Networks were established at the Kehl University of Applied Sciences . The “mayor maker” also organizes “nationwide noticed” seminars and public workshops on the subject of “How do I become or stay mayor?”.
