Paul von Spaeth

Paul Reich , from 1867 Paul Reich called Spaeth , from 1911 Paul von Spaeth (born September 22, 1859 in Angerburg as Heinrich Albert Paul Anton Reich , † June 18, 1936 in Groß Droosden , Labiau district ) was a German majorate owner and member of parliament.

Life

Paul von Spaeth was born as the son of Ernst Franz Reich (1826–1906, Privy Councilor of Justice) and his wife Emma Ida Rosalie, nee. Hartog (1826–1902) born. In 1867 his father received permission to use the real family name Reich called Spaeth.

Reich studied agricultural science at the Universities of Halle and Königsberg . In 1881 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Halle . He also completed practical agricultural training. He became the owner of the Majorate Groß Droosden near Pronitten and the manor in Meyken . In the Landwehr he reached the rank of Rittmeister.

Reich was head of office, registrar, member of the district committee, district assembly and the provincial assembly of the province of East Prussia . From 1908 to 1918 he sat as a member of the constituency of Königsberg 2 (Labiau, Wehlau) in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party .

As von Spaeth, he was raised to the Prussian nobility on May 24, 1911.
