Paulina z Lauczów Wilkońska (* 1815 in Swarzędz ; † June 9, 1875 in Poznan ) was a Polish writer.

In 1832 Paulina Wilkońska married Augustus Wilkoński , a graduate of the University of Wroclaw , who, convicted of participating in an uprising and a duel affair with a Prussian officer, had received special leave for the wedding granted by the Prussian king. After the wedding, the couple went to Glogau, where Wilkoński was supposed to be imprisoned for twelve years.

After his early release in 1836, the couple lived in Berlin, Warsaw and on an estate near Lublin until they moved entirely to Warsaw in 1840. Here they founded the Cech Glupców ( Fools' Guild ), which u. a. Narcyza Żmichowska , Teofil Lenartowicz and Aleksander Niewiarowski were members. As a result of the guild meetings, the monthly letter became Dzwon Literacki (Literary Bell). Wilkońska ran a literary salon, whose guests included Oskar Kolberg , Edward Dembowski , Józef Bohdan Dziekoński , Hipolit Skimborowicz and Roman Zmorski .

In 1848 Wilkoński was charged again with maintaining contact with revolutionary exiles and sentenced to imprisonment in the Zamosc fortress, where his wife was accompanying him. Both returned to Warsaw at the end of 1850, but were expelled from Poland a few months later and went to Karlovy Vary, before returning to Skierki near Posen, where Wilkoński died in 1852.

Paulina Wilkońska worked as a writer since the beginning of the 1830s. She has written several novels, small fonts and feature articles (under the pseudonym Paulina z LW) for magazines like Przeglgd Naukowy , Zorza , Biblioteka Warszawska , Dwutygodnik Literacki , Niewiasta , Tygodnik Mód , Dziennik Mód Paryskich , Czytelnia dla Mlodziezy , Dzwonek , Strzecha , Przyjaciel Dzieci and Rodzina and left an extensive correspondence with the writer Józef Ignacy Kraszewski .
