Pauline Etienne
Pauline Étienne (born June 26, 1989 in Ixelles ) is a Belgian actress.
Life
Pauline Étienne attended a circus school and the music academy in Brussels . In 2008 she was discovered by Joachim Lafosse for the film, which she used in private lessons . In the drama, Étienne starred as the girlfriend of an insecure teenager (played by Jonas Bloquet ) who receives tutoring from his mother's friends on sexual matters. For which she won the 2011 Belgian film award Magritte as Best Young Actress .
She became known to a wide audience in France through the following film Le bel âge (2009) by Laurent Perreau , in which she played the lead role alongside Michel Piccoli . The role of rebellious granddaughter Claire earned her the actor's award at the Festival des jeunes réalisateurs in Saint-Jean-de-Luz . German-speaking critics also became aware of the young Belgian when the film was shown at the Locarno International Film Festival and suggested a possible career.
The high point of her acting career so far paved Étienne the participation in Léa Fehner's feature film First one, then all (2009). In the drama that is set in the visitor room of a prison, she slipped into the role of a prisoner's lover. This earned her the Étoile d'Or and Prix Lumières as best young actress in France, as well as a César nomination.
