Paulo Antônio de Paranaguá

Paulo Antônio de Paranaguá (* 1948 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian film scholar , surrealist filmmaker and journalist .

Life

Paulo Antônio de Paranaguá is the son of Glorinha Paranaguá (* in Rio de Janeiro), an accessory designer from Ipanema and Paulo Henrique de Paranaguá . Paulo Antônio de Paranaguá was married to Maria Regina Pilla.

Paulo António de Paranaguá has been part of the surrealist filmmaking movement since 1967 with Sérgio Lima and Leila Lima . In 1975 Paulo Antônio de Paranaguá fled with his wife from the torture regime in Brazil to Buenos Aires in Argentina, where Isabel Martínez de Perón reigned. From May 1975 to January 1976, Maria Regina Pilla Paranagua and Paulo Antonio de Paranaguá were kidnapped by the secret services as part of Operation Condor . His father asked Edward Kennedy for assistance, while his mother asked João Havelange for help. In the biography of Ernesto Carneiro Rodrigues Jogo duro: a história de João Havelange2007 describes how Havelange was recommended to Roberto Eduardo Viola by Jorge Rafael Videla and that Robert Mitterrand , a friend of Paulo Henrique de Paranaguá, contributed to the reappearance of Paulo Antônio de Paranaguá.
