Paulo Sérgio Betanin (born January 10, 1986 in Caxias do Sul ), better known by his stage name Paulinho , is a Brazilian football player . The striker has been without a contract since February 2019

Career

Paulinho started his career with EC Juventude . In 2005 he moved to AS Livorno , where he did not succeed in displacing the two regulars in the storm, Stefano Fiore and Cristiano Lucarelli , from the starting line-up. In July 2007 Paulinho was loaned to US Grosseto for a year in Serie B and two years later to Sorrento Calcio . After two extremely successful seasons with the Italian third division club , in which he scored a total of 39 goals, he returned to AS Livorno for the 2011/12 season.

On July 21, 2014, it was announced that Betanin would be joining al-Arabi in Qatar for the 2014/15 season .

National team

Paulinho has played for the Brazilian U-20 national team , scoring eight times in twelve games.
