Paulsrekorder was a German music group from the Hanseatic city of Bremen .
history
The origins of the band go back to 2002 - back then with the founding members Lars Eickhoff (drums), Michael Haß (guitar) and Tobias Ohrt (bass).
Paul recorders have been in existence since 2007 with Frederik Deluweit on bass and Sebastian Deufel on drums. Michael Hass has been replaced by Jonas Jürgens (previously at Aeroclub ), the singer's brother, since February 2008 . Since September 2008 the band has had the current line-up with Christoph Keding on drums.
They successfully took part in talent competitions such as winning Live in Bremen (2007) or the John Lennon Talent Award (2005/2006) and played with bands such as The Subways and Tele .
In January 2008 they signed with the Hamburg label Ferryhouse of the Hamburg media entrepreneur Frank Otto , on which the first single and the album planned for September 2008 will be released. Both were produced by Christian Neander ( Pohlmann / Selig / Kungfu ) and Michael Tibes ( Nena and others).
Paulsrekorder represented Bremen at Stefan Raab's Bundesvision Song Contest 2008 in Hanover and took eleventh place with the song Anna . The accompanying single was released on February 15, 2008.
The singer, David Juergens, wrote songs for a theater group at a school in Bremen.
In April 2013 the band split. Nothing further is known about the reasons.
style
Paulsrekorder mix modern German rock / pop with strong influences from the music of the Neue Deutsche Welle .
