Paulus Reinhold af o'clock (born January 25, 1892 in Uppsala , Sweden , † April 28, 1972 ibid) was a Swedish major general and athlete .

Paulus af Uhr took part in the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm in the high jump . He could not qualify for the final and shared 23rd place with four other athletes with a skipped 1.70 m. In 1914 he managed to jump over 1,884 m. This jump was the new Swedish national record.

In 1913, af Uhr joined the Swedish military. He served as a Löjtnant in the Jämtland Rifle Regiment . After the Swedish Air Force was founded in 1926, af Uhr switched to this branch of service and was promoted to Kapten (equivalent to captain ). From 1931 to 1933 he studied at the Military Academy in Uppsala . After graduating, he was appointed head of the Air Force Education Department. In 1942, after his promotion to major general, he replaced Bengt Nordenskiöld as commander of the 1st Flygeskadern . He held this position until 1952.

As early as 1939 af Uhr became president of the Royal Swedish Aero Club . After he left the military in 1952, he became director of the Swedish helicopter manufacturer Osterman Aero AB . In 1957 he retired into private life. He died on April 28, 1972 in his hometown of Uppsala.
