Pavel Ivanovich Wostryakov

Pawel Iwanowitsch Wostrjakow (also Pavel Vostriakov , Russian Павел Иванович Востряков ; born July 24, 1930 in Leningrad ) is a former Soviet cyclist .

Athletic career

Pavel Wostryakov started for the Trud Leningrad club and began cycling in 1949 . In 1955 he won the USSR Tour, in which he was able to win several stages in different years. In 1957 he became the Soviet road racing champion . He competed five times in the international peace voyage, several times as the captain of the Soviet national team. His best result on the tour was sixth in 1958.
