Pavel Roschtschin

Pawel Roschtschin ( Russian Павел Рощин , English transcription Pavel Roshchin ; born October 14, 1956 in Odessa ) is a former Soviet sprinter who had specialized in the 400-meter run .

At the European Athletics Championships in Athens in 1982 , he won bronze with the Soviet team in the 4 x 400 meter relay with Alexander Troschtschilo , Pavel Roschtschin, Pavel Konovalov and Viktor Markin .

Roschtschin took second place at the Soviet championships in 1980 behind Nikolai Chernetsky and in 1981 behind Viktor Markin. After a fifth place in 1982 and a seventh place in 1983, Roschtschin came third again in 1984.

He set his personal best of 45.72 s on July 27, 1983 in Leningrad .
