Pazeiden

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pazeiden , also pazein , was a volume measure of different amounts. The measure of capacity for wine has been proven especially in South Tyrol since the 15th century . In Tramin , for example, 12 Pazeiden resulted in an ore for wine , and 14 for the must measure. In Neumarkt , up to 16 prazeins were calculated for must. There was no difference in Kaltern ; in 1477 there is talk of “bazede” (for white wine ).

  • 1 Pazeiden = about 6.43 to 6.85 liters
  • Bolzano 1 Ueren = 12 Pazeiden = 54 measure = 77.81 liters (old)
  • Meraner and Schlanderser Weinüren was divided into 12 Pazeiden = 72 measure = 78.98 liters
