Pearson is an American law and politics series starring Gina Torres . It's a spin-off from the Suits series . It was first broadcast in the USA on July 17, 2019 on the US cable station USA Network .
The series was canceled after the first season of ten episodes had aired.

Jessica Pearson has since left the Pearson-Specter-Litt law firm, and her license to practice as a lawyer in New York State has been revoked. She decides to start over in Chicago .

On February 22, 2017, it was announced that USA Network was developing a spin-off series of Suits around the character Jessica Pearson , played by Gina Torres . In March 2017 it was announced that Gina Torres had signed the contract and would also produce the series with Aaron Korsh and Daniel Arkin.
In November 2017 it was announced that actors Rebecca Rittenhouse and Morgan Spector would join the series. In September 2018, Rittenhouse was replaced by Bethany Joy Lenz .
The final episode of the seventh season of Suits serves as the backdoor pilot for the spin-off series. The series' official title is Pearson .
In May it was revealed that the series is slated to start on July 17, 2019.
