Pedro Quintana Arias , also short Pedro Quintana (born January 22, 1989 in León ) is a Spanish biathlete .

Pedro Quintana Arias, a student from Leon, has been running biathlon since 2005. Since then, the athlete trained by Manuel Valiñas and starting for La Tercia has been part of the Spanish national team. In the same year he made his debut in the Junior European Cup. The Spaniard ran his first major event in 2007 at the Junior World Championship in Martell . The best result was a 35th place in the individual. A year later in Ruhpolding a 37th place in the pursuit was the best result. In the summer, Quintana Arias started at the junior competitions of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2008 in Haute-Maurienne and achieved a 19th place in the sprint competition on roller skis as the best result. The young Spaniard also competed at the Junior World Championship in Canmore in 2009 .

For the 2008/09 season Quintana Arias made her debut in Obertilliach in a race of the IBU Cup and was 102nd of an individual. Only a little later, however, the performance of the Spaniards stabilized with placements in the 50s range. The highlight of the season was participation in the 2009 Biathlon World Championships in Pyeongchang , where he was 108th in the individual and 94th in the sprint competition.

At the national level, Quintana Arias also competes in cross-country skiing races, especially the Spanish championships, without however achieving top placements.
