Pelechiwschtschyna ( Ukrainian Пелехівщина ; Russian Пелеховщина Pelechowschtschina ) is a village in the Ukrainian Poltava Oblast with 2500 inhabitants (2004).
Pelechiwschtschyna belongs to the district administration of the 6 km west, on the bank of the Kremenchuk reservoir , the village Brovarky ( Броварки ) in the Hlobyne district .
The N 08 road runs east of the village . Pelechiwschtschyna is located 22 km west of the district center Hlobyne and 53 km northwest of the city of Kremenchuk .
Personalities
The brothers Heorhij (1913–1992) and Platon Majboroda (1918–1989), who later worked as composers and received the Taras Shevchenko Prize , were born in the village .
