Pen-Ek Karaket (born March 18, 1990 ) is a Thai Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 58 kilograms.

Karaket played his first international title fights at the Junior Asian Championships in Vietnam in 2006 . He won the title in the class up to 51 kilograms. His breakthrough in the adult sector came in 2010. He won silver in the class up to 58 kg at the Asian Games in Guangzhou and gold at the Asian Championships in Astana . He faced Wei Chen-yang in both finals . At his first World Cup in Gyeongju in 2011 , he reached the round of 16. At the international Olympic qualification competition in Baku , Karaket won the final of the class up to 58 kilograms against Yulis Mercedes and secured participation in the 2012 Olympic Games in London . He was one of the biggest Thai medal hopes for the Games, but lost to Óscar Muñoz in the battle for the bronze medal.

Karaket is studying architecture in Bangkok .
