Penelope Scheidler

Penelope Scheidler (born 1996 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian circus performer and dancer .

life and work

Scheidler began dancing and training at the age of four. Her first teacher was her own mother, the dancer and dance teacher Sonja Scheidler. She later took artistry lessons from Doris Kirschhofer , with whom she subsequently performed regularly at home and abroad. This was followed by lessons in acting and artistry from the artist, choreographer and director Ulfried Kirschhofer , who teaches at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. In 2013 she completed further training at the École Nationale de Cirque in Montréal, the circus school of the Cirque du Soleil .

She made her first appearance - at the age of eleven - at a gala in the Salzburgarena in front of around six thousand spectators. The show was conceived by her teacher Doris Kirschhofer. She has also performed all over Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy, in the circus , in the variety show , on classical stages . Her best-known venues include the Circus Roncalli and the Salzburg Festival .

Scheidler's main disciplines are standard hand arts , aerial arts and contortion .
