Penny Rimbaud
Penny Rimbaud (born June 8, 1943 in Northwood , Middlesex ; real name Jeremy John Ratter) is an English musician, producer , sound engineer , sound designer and writer. In 1977 he founded the anarcho-punk band Crass with friends .
Penny Rimbaud (named after the poet Arthur Rimbaud ) is considered an ideological mentor and initiator of the anarchist concept of the band. He was a drummer and lyricist. During this time he was also actively working as a producer, sound engineer and sound designer for the record label Crass Records. His sound collages and loops of radio, TV and background noises, as well as his characteristic drumming, shape his productions to this day.

He lives in the old Crass commune on the outskirts of Essex and works as a solo artist and together with former Crass members.
