Per Olaf Lundteigen (born April 18, 1953 in Øvre Eiker ) is a Norwegian farmer and politician of the Senterpartiet (Sp). From 1993 to 1997 and since 2005 he has been a member of parliament in Storting . Between May 1999 and March 2000 he was State Secretary .

Life

Lundteigen worked from 1977 to 1979 as a secretary for the Norwegian farmers' association Norges Bondelag . He then worked as a project manager for the Ringebu municipality until 1982 , before becoming a full-time farmer. In addition, from 1986 to 1992 he was head of the Norsk Bonde- og Småbrukarlag association .

Lundteigen moved into the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time in the parliamentary elections in 1993 , when his party became the second largest parliamentary group. He represented the constituency of Buskerud for a legislative period until 1997 and was a member of the finance committee. On May 12, 1999, he was appointed State Secretary in the Local and Regional Ministry. He held this office until the change of government on March 17, 2000. From 1997 to 1999 he was the general secretary of the Senterpartiet, from 2000 to 2003 he headed the party in what was then the province of Buskerud. Between 2003 and 2005 he was a member of Øvre Eiker's local parliament .

In the 2005 election he moved back to Storting and became a member of the finance committee again, where he stayed until September 2012. He then moved to the Labor and Social Committee, where he became a member again after the 2013 and 2017 elections .
