Pere Pou i Llompart

Pere Pou i Llompart (* 1963 in Inca ) is a Spanish composer and singer.

Life

He studied music theory , piano, viola and composition at the Conservatory of Palma de Mallorca . He later completed a vocal degree and obtained a vocal diploma in 1994. In Barcelona he took composition lessons with Carles Guinovart and attended courses and master classes with Joan Guinjoan , Tomás Marco and Cristóbal Halffter . He was one of the founders of the Balearic Composers' Union (ACIB). Pere Pou i Llompart organized events and concerts to promote contemporary music by Balearic artists.

From 1989 to 1991 he lived in Valencia and dedicated himself to early music . He has worked in various ensembles, such as the Capella de Ministrers and the Capella Reial de Catalunya under the direction of Jordi Savall . In addition to concerts, there were also CD releases. He carried out scenic projects on Mallorca with the Ensemble Studium Aureum on the subject of early music.

In 1995 he received a foreign scholarship from the Balearic Government. He graduated in 1997 with a diploma in singing with Werner Hollweg at the Freiburg Music Academy . He also took master classes with Renato Capecchi and Herbert Lippert . Following his studies in Freiburg, he worked at the Freiburg Theater . Further engagements followed at the Konstanz Chamber Opera and the Nordhausen Theater . From 2001 he belonged to the choir of the Frankfurt Opera . There were also performances as a soloist.

In the field of modern music he was a member of the vocal ensemble of the Heinrich Stobel Studios of the Südwestfunk in Freiburg from 1995 to 1997 under the direction of André Richard . With the ensemble he performed in Luxembourg , Berlin , Vienna , Paris and Brussels .

From 2002 to 2006 he was a composer and singer in the ensemble con tempo for contemporary music in Frankfurt am Main.
