The Peter-Anich-Hütte is a managed refuge at an altitude of 1909 m above sea level. A. south-east of Rietz on the ridge that runs north from the Bachwandkopf on the Untere Seewenalm on the northern edge of the Stubai Alps . It is administered by the Innsbruck Tourist Club section of the Austrian Alpine Club (ÖAV).
history
The hut was built in 1884/85 as simple accommodation made of stone pine by the Austrian Tourist Club (ÖTC, today ÖTK) without having to purchase a plot of land from the municipality of Rietz beforehand. The accommodation was named after the famous Tyrolean geodesist and cartographer Peter Anich (1723–1766).
In the course of time, however, it deteriorated more and more, which made repairs necessary. In 1924 the hut was taken back into management and in 1928 it was transferred to the Innsbruck Section as a whole. As a result, the land was acquired. In 1931 the hut was structurally expanded.
In 1961, the section intended to convert the Peter-Anich-Hütte into a youth home, which the community disliked. In 1990 the hut was officially closed. In 1990/91 extensive structural renovation was carried out with a kitchen and laundry room extension, which was followed by the inauguration on September 8, 1991.
The Peter-Anich-Hütte is a Category I refuge with 22 beds.
