The Peter I chain ( Russian Петра Первого хребет ) is a mountain range in the northwestern Pamirs in Tajikistan .
The Peter I chain forms the watershed between Surchob in the north and Obichingou in the south and extends over a length of 200 km in an east-west direction. The highest peak, the 6785 m high Moscow Peak, is located in the east of the mountain range. This is where the chain of the Academy of Sciences joins.
