The parish church hll. Petrus und Paulus is a Roman Catholic church in Vorderberg in the municipality of Sankt Stefan im Gailtal in Carinthia .

The late Gothic church with a mighty tower was consecrated in 1493 or 1498 and stands in the middle of the village of Vorderberg. In 1994, the facade decoration from 1803 was restored. The interior of the nave , which has been changed in baroque style, was restored in 1996.

The nave has a flat ceiling with a stucco frame field with the painting Coronation of the Virgin and round windows with glazing from 1900. The pointed arched west portal leads into a large pillar porch with a staircase to the gallery . There is a remnant of a fresco of a calendar with symbols of saints and a remnant of a fresco with two rows of accounts in the form of medieval calculation boards . The wooden west gallery is deep and stands on pillars. The retracted triumphal arch is ogival and drawn. The two yoke choir with a ribbed vault over the head consoles has a 3/8 end. The flower painting of the vault is from the end of the 16th century. The south tower with arched sound windows has a three-part baroque onion helmet.

The high altar from 1697/98 is by the sculptor Joseph Wielland and was painted in 1698 by the painter Michael Akherl. There are two side altars from around 1700. On the north wall there is a late Gothic winged altar from the subsidiary church Maria im Graben , the altar wings are a late work by the master of the Amlach altar wings. In 1996 a Gothic Pietà from 1500 from the younger Villach workshop from the depot of the Diocesan Museum was set up in the central niche. The pulpit with images of the evangelists is neo-baroque from the 19th century.
