Peter Aniol

Peter Aniol (born January 23, 1938 in Christinenberg , Naugard district ; † April 5, 2015 ) was a German CDU politician .

Life and work

Born in Pomerania, Aniol, who was of Protestant faith , came to West Germany as a displaced person after the Second World War . After secondary school, he completed an administration apprenticeship at a health insurance company, which he completed in 1958. He then entered the service of the German Armed Forces , where he was deployed in the Air Force . Since 1974 he was stationed with the reconnaissance wing 52 in Leck, u. a. as deputy commander of the air base group. Aniol resigned from the Bundeswehr as a lieutenant colonel . On February 19, 2011 the Traditionsgemeinschaft AG 52 eV Leck appointed its former chairman Peter Aniol as honorary chairman.

Aniol was awarded the Schleswig-Holstein Flood Medal , the German Fire Brigade Cross of Honor in Silver (1977) and, at the suggestion of the Schleswig-Holstein State Government, the Cross of Merit on Ribbon (1987) and the Cross of Merit 1st Class (1992) of the Federal Cross of Merit.

Political party

Aniol joined the CDU in 1966. From 1975 to 1979 he was chairman of the local branch of Leck and from 1974 to 1988 deputy chairman in the district of North Friesland .

MP

Aniol has been a member of the district council in the district of North Friesland since 1970. From 1975 to 1986 he was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group there. From 1998 to 2003 he was deputy district administrator there.

Aniol was a member of the state parliament in Schleswig-Holstein from 1979 to 1992 , where he represented the constituency of Südtondern . From 1983 to December 15, 1985 he was a member of the parliamentary group executive committee, then deputy chairman of the parliamentary group until he left parliament. From 1984 to 1992 he was also chairman of the parliamentary committee for the interior and legal affairs and in 1989/90 he was deputy chairman of the special committee for constitutional and parliamentary reform. The Landtag elected him a member of the ninth Federal Assembly , which on May 23, 1989 re-elected Richard von Weizsäcker as Federal President.
