Peter Bauer (* 1951 in Wismar , GDR ) is a German graphic artist , illustrator and caricaturist .

Life

From 1972 to 1977 he studied at the Leipzig College of Graphics and Book Art under Hans Mayer-Foreyt , Volker Küster and Arno Rink . Since then he has been working as a freelance graphic artist, illustrator and caricaturist in Rostock.

In 1991 Bauer founded the WeymannBauer Verlag together with the writer Frank Weymann to implement an advertising project (book series) for the Schering Group. Between 2000 and 2013 he was also a lecturer in nature studies and graphic design at the Rostock Technical Art School.

Peter Bauer is represented in collections in the “Wilhelm Busch - German Museum for Caricature and Drawing” and in the “Kupferstichkabinett Greiz”.
