Peter Beinart (2014)

Peter Beinart (* 1971 in Cambridge , Massachusetts ) is an American political scientist and journalist. He is an Associate Professor of Journalism and Political Science at the City University of New York and an Orthodox Jew .

Beinart takes the position that Israel must withdraw from the occupied territories. In October 2016 he published together with Todd Gitlin , Michael Walzer , Edward Witten , Adam Hochschild u. a. an open letter in the New York Review of Books calling for a targeted boycott of Israeli settlements in the occupied territories .
