Peter Blauth

Peter Blauth (born September 11, 1937 in Heidelberg ; † November 20, 1999 ibid) was a German lawyer . From 1990 until his death he was a judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

Live and act

After completing his legal training, Blauth joined the judicial service of the state of Baden-Württemberg in 1966 , where he worked at the Heidelberg district court at the Mannheim public prosecutor's office . Temporarily seconded to the federal prosecutor's office as a research assistant , Blauth then worked as a district judge at the Heidelberg district court and, after a corresponding promotion, as a judge at the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court . In 1979 Blauth returned to the Heidelberg Regional Court as presiding judge.

In 1984 Blauth was appointed rector of the University of Applied Sciences in Schwetzingen . In 1988 he returned to the judge's service and took over the presidency of a senate at the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court. Blauth was elected judge at the Federal Court of Justice in 1990. Here he belonged mainly to the 3rd criminal senate, as well as the senate for notary matters. He died in 1999 after a brief, serious illness, leaving behind a wife and two children.

Until his death, Blauth also worked as a volunteer pastor in the New Apostolic Church in Heidelberg-Wieblingen .
