Peter Bringewat

Peter Bringewat (* 1946 ) is a German legal scholar.

Life

After graduating from high school in Wilhelmshaven in February 1965 and doing military service (April 1965 – March 1967), he studied law at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen from April 1967 to March 1971 . In May 1971 he passed the first state examination in Baden-Württemberg . From June 1971 to May 1979 he was a research assistant , administrator of the position of a research assistant and research assistant at Bielefeld University , where he was awarded a Dr. jur. received his doctorate . In November 1975 he passed the second state examination in law in Düsseldorf . At the Bielefeld District Court he was from June 1979 to November 1984 Judge . From December 1984 to December 2004 he held a professorship at the North East Lower Saxony University of Applied Sciences . He served as presiding judge at the Lüneburg Regional Court (small criminal chamber) from February 1993 to April 2010. At Leuphana University he was a professor from January 2005 to September 2010. From October 2010 to September 2011 he was a university professor in Lüneburg . He has been a lawyer in the law firm Bernzen Sonntag since June 2012 . Until March 2015 he taught as a professor for criminal law , criminal procedure law and commercial criminal law .
