Peter Burguburu (also: Henri Joseph Pierre Burguburu ) (* July 4, 1869 in Wissembourg , † June 8, 1933 in Strasbourg ) was the first chairman of the central Alsace-Lorraine state party.

Burguburu studied medicine in Strasbourg and Würzburg . From 1897 to 1933 he was Vice President of Caritas and from 1901 to 1913 he was a member of the Strasbourg city council. In 1905 he chaired the local organizing committee of the Catholic Day in Strasbourg; In 1907 he moved up to the board level of the Catholic Congress. From 1913 until his resignation on November 19, 1918, Burguburu was managing director of the Association of Catholic Student Associations in Germany.
