Peter Clemens

Peter Clemens (born July 9, 1905 in Saarbrücken ; † November 21, 1981 ) was a Saarland politician ( CDU ).

After elementary school, Clemens completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith and from 1926 worked at the machine factory Ehrhard & Sehmer in Saarbrücken. From 1949 he became involved in the company's works council , and he was also chairman of the ironworks and metalworkers' association of the Christian trade unions of Saarland.

In 1955, Clemens was one of the founding members of the Saarland CDU. In the same year he took part in the election to the state parliament of Saarland and was able to achieve a mandate for the third legislative period (1956–1961).
