However, this lawsuit was denied.

In the House of Representatives elections on July 8, 2008, which led to the victory of the NDC, he was re-elected MP in the constituency of the Town of St. George . In the government formed by the chairman of the NDC and current Prime Minister Tillman Thomas , he was appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism on July 13, 2008. He is also Secretary General of the NDC. As Minister of Tourism, among other things, he succeeded in arranging a new flight route between New York City and Grenada through Delta Airlines . As part of a cabinet reshuffle, he handed over the office of Minister of Tourism on August 1, 2009 to the previous Minister for Social Development, Labor and Church Relations, Glennis Roberts.
